You can book a cab, order food and even get sex tips via apps. There’s an app for almost everything we do. And now, there’s an app to get your enemies beaten up! Well, at least in China there is. So, if you aren’t any match for your enemy’s knuckles, let this app handle your case. Called ‘Didi Da Ren’ which translates to ‘Didi Hit People’ is a China-only app which facilitates booking thugs and gangsters to get rivals beaten up.
Proposed as a joke by an online talk show, the app was made a reality by developer Changsha Zhang Kong Information Technology Ltd. The app was actually made to connect odd job workers with employers. But soon ‘people seeking hitmen’ took over the app. Soon, the app become a buzz word and was downloaded over 40,000 times in just a few weeks. A reporter put the app to test and was quickly connected with a goon name ‘Lei’ who was ready to bash anybody the reporter wanted, for as less as $32. The journo further reported that the price ranges from $30-$80 per beating, and the severity of the beating can also be discussed. Bafflingly, the app is a hit and bookings have been pouring in, and some people had to even wait for days to get a booking. Though the app has been pulled off the Google Play Store, it’s still available through 3rd party app stores. God bless China!
